frequently asked questions

I spent many years in corporate roles working crazy hours and sacrificing balance with my family because I felt I had no choice. I took opportunities that seemed like the right step so I could move up and be “successful” but realized later that they had led me astray from my true passion of developing people. I felt like something was missing—that I wasn’t making the difference in people’s lives that I wanted to (or in mine, for that matter) and I felt very stuck. I was stressed, exhausted, and uninspired.

I realized during my coach training program that I have the power to create anything I want—I am not limited by anything or anyone—except myself. What. A. Difference!  With my background in corporate training and development coaching leaders seemed like a natural fit.

I trained and coached all levels of employees for more than 13 years in the corporate world before formally opening my business in 2011. My graduate education is in psychology and I have an extensive professional background in organizational development and talent management.

I received my coach training from IPEC Coaching and am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF) with more than 1500 logged coaching hours.

I also hold a number of professional assessment certifications including The Leadership Circle Profile (TLCP), Energy Leadership Index (ELI-MP), and Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

I work with senior-level leaders who are tired of operating under the corporate status quo and instead want to build a lasting leadership legacy.

I help leaders communicate with greater impact and clarity, improve their personal effectiveness and work satisfaction, and create greater engagement and productivity within their work teams.

I provide leaders and their team members with the skills (training), strategies, awareness, and mindset to take leadership and team performance from functional to optimal.

I work best with clients who are ready to take different action in their life and business, are committed to long-term growth and change, and understand the importance of investing in themselves and their teams.

My clients are hard-working, responsible, and successful business people who want to get more from their work experience, and create fun and productive working environments for their team members.

Coaching takes time, dedication, and commitment to action. If you are looking for the magic pill or a quick fix and are not willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work, then we are probably not a good fit.
When I work with clients, I am ALL IN. I work with very few clients at a time so you can expect to get a lot of personalized attention and support from me in our coaching relationship and between sessions.

While I travel to work with my top coaching clients and for my training deliveries, I have intentionally created a virtual business so that I can coach leaders all over the world.

You can expect a lot of clarity, celebration, accountability and a strong push when needed. I always start with a Complimentary Discovery Call to make sure we’re the right match for one another.

No—Change takes time. Your current thoughts, and behavior patterns weren’t developed overnight and your new habits won’t be either. You’ll experience the impact with every small choice and change you make in each conversation with those around you.

Remember, consistent action creates consistent results. I am ready to commit 100% to you and your goals and I only work with those who are willing to make that same level of commitment to the training and coaching process.

A coach is an objective listener who helps provide a different perspective on situations the client is facing. Coaches act as a supporter and guide while helping you become aware of and overcome your blind spots. Coaching is a partnership between the coach and client meant to take you from where you are to where you want to be, and is therefore both future- and action-oriented.

While mentors, consultants, and therapists all serve to help clients, their focus might be on sharing experiences, providing advice or solutions, and exploring the past for understanding.

As your coach, I ask powerful questions that have you look inside yourself for answers and act as your accountability partner to help you reach your goals.

Yes, coaching really works. I’ve seen amazing results in my clients and I’ve personally experienced the benefits of having coaching support. I’ve included success stories on my website so that you can see how this has helped others.
Your engagement and commitment will drive the quality and speed of your results. I promise to provide you with new perspectives and to share my best practices with you.

I teach people how to consciously respond rather than react to situations, how to feel more in control and deal with stress, how to communicate with greater confidence and clarity, how to focus on possibilities and solutions rather than problems, and how to engage with and inspire others to achieve more.

You get to choose how to put that learning into practice in your life and work.

Many people attempt the DIY approach and wind up feeling isolated, frustrated and stuck. The question is, if you could do it on your own why haven’t you already? Everyone can benefit from an objective perspective. We all need a support system to help us get past our blind spots and hold us accountable for our results.

Top athletes rely on their coaches to bring out their strengths, improve on their weaknesses, and push their best performance. The same is true in life and business. Working with a coach helps you achieve your fullest potential and bring out the best in your team.

Feeling busy and overwhelmed is common in the corporate world. Most of my clients have more clarity and focus after their first session with me. Your engagement and commitment will drive how fast you see results. We’ll focus on how you can make different choices to allow you to get better results with less stress and effort.
I know first-hand that investing in yourself (or your team members) can be scary. Coming from a DIY mentality, hiring my first coach was hard. But I also know that having clarity, support, and accountability are priceless. Many people try to “go it alone” or wait until the timing is perfect and find themselves stuck and frustrated.
